From Sweet to Silent

 In love's tumultuous war we find,

A tale of hearts, both intertwined. 

A rift that grew between me and you,

A storm in our hearts, that tore us apart

Reminiscing the feeling of falling in love,

A fresh breath of air from skies above.

Felt colorful, bright and sweet,

Would sing your name everyday on repeat.

Didn't ever think, with all that i felt,

something so genuine, so pure would quietly melt.

The smoothness started fading,

My hopeful heart and teary eyes kept waiting.

 A moment's pause, a lack of care,

 Ignited flames of love's despair.

I yearned for words, 

for gentle touch, 

A connection missed,

 it meant so much. 

Yet both our pride and hurt took center stage,

Grounding love to a metal cage,

I was soft and easy when we met, 

Hard and bitter, now, i am left.

Now ain't nothing holding me back,

Got to take myself back on track.

Happy in my own company, 

Singing in the silent's symphony.
