TODAY..

i woke up to a new day,

i woke up as an older me.

yesterday's gone,

and i woke up to today.

past was a lesson,

present is an exercise

future be the result,

thus i start this beautiful day.

walking by the streets,

i played the same old song.

earphones plugged in my ear,

with the blowing breeze i walked along.

smiles crossed by,

busy as bees they hustle around.

same old folks with new hopes,

yearning for success, longing for more.

dodging every bullet ain't easy,

fight like heroes and they win.

losers sit and complain,

winners strive and gain. 

thoughts i thought today,

plans i made for tomorrow.

fickle as a wind,

never once it remains the same.

passion and patience tires me,

now is the moment that elates me.

does that makes me half-hearted?

because what i do  is what i love..

time has a limit,

but wishes are endless,

life has a limit

but dreams never end.

i am grateful for today 

for the walks i had,

for the smiles i shared.

for the warmth i felt,

for the life i have.,
